Food for Thought


This blog isn't really going to be something that warrants serious consideration.. I just liked that saying for the title. LOL! Don't judge me (sticking my tongue out).

Today was my first day back (after a long 3 days)... To weighing out all of my food. To be completely honest, it felt good knowing exactly what I was eating. I knew that I had the right amount of macros! Does that make me weird?

I was down a pound this morning (126lbs). I'm heading in the right direction.

My meals for the day:

Meal 1: Protein waffle (1 scoop of protein powder + 1 egg + water), egg whites, spinach, sharp cheddar cheese, 1 omega 3 egg, and some cauliflower rice. And don't forget the coffee.

Meal 2: Cream of wheat, protein powder, SF chocolate syrup (pre-workout).

Meal 3: Jasmine white rice, ground turkey, 2 rice cakes (post-workout).

Meal 4: FlatOut wrap, chicken, spinach, mushrooms, and 2 rice cakes. I moved the carbs that I used to eat in meal 1 to this meal. I found out that I tend to be hungrier right about 4. Night time cravings slowly start to kick in... Today having a heavier meal at this time definitely seemed to help me stick to the plan with less struggle.

Meal 5: Ground turkey, broccoli, spaghetti squash, and some sharp cheddar cheese. Lots of fiber to fill up my tummy.

Meal 6: Protein pudding (1 scoop of casein + 1 tbsp nut butter + water).

That's it for today. :)
