Food for Thought 20


Would you look at that handsome man!

I am so happy and thankful to have him by my side!

We always have fun together! I am looking forward to all of our trips this year!

And that brings me to the topic of being able to stick to your plan while on the go.

Tony and I are lucky that we have found each other. We live the same lifestyle, so it makes things easy for us (minus the fact that we both love to eat all of the food lol)!

Whenever we travel we either bring our food in plastic baggies. One time we even paid one of Tony's friends who lived where we were traveling to, to make us a bunch of chicken and rice.

I strongly believe that it is the easiest way to stick to your plan. Whether you are traveling to your grandma's house or to another state. Plus it saves you so much money! Eating out is expensive and gets in the way of your progress.

During this trip my meals will definitely be different than my normal meals, but that's okay. As long as I hit my macros as close as I can.

Here was my post workout meal from yesterday. I had some chicken and rice cakes. I also had a small salad with hot sauce on the side because I was really hungry (I normally do NOT had veggies with my post workout meal because it slows down the digestion of the meal.. & after your workout you want your meal to be easy and quick to digest to help with refueling/recovery).

And here was my hotel breakfast :)

I had some black coffee with some hard boiled egg whites.. And you can't forget the oatmeal.

It is a very simple but still delicious meal.

I do not have my scale with me, so I do not know how much I weighed this morning. But that's okay. I will just stick to my program. I am training like normal (schedule is a little switched around). And I am still doing my fasted cardio. There will always be something going on in life. So Tony and I do not wait for the "perfect time" to travel. If we did... We wouldn't leave our house. You just have to make things work for you :)

This is where I will wrap it up today. I just got back from the gym & I'm starving. TIME TO EAT!

I will be having some turkey, rice, and rice cakes :)
