OFF SEASON ABS!
I'm pretty happy with that!
But.. In order to have those abs... It takes a lot of willpower.
Which for some reason.. I've been having a hard time with that.
I just want to eat everything!
Ice cream, cookies, trail mix, nut butter! Cadbury eggs! M&M's! LOL. I'm so fat!
Anyways... I want to say that's enough talk about food. But this whole blog is for food. Hahaha.
It is Sunday... Tony and I did not train today. When this close to a powerlifting meet.. I actually enjoy my rest days. My body is pooped! Especially doing two meets back to back.
I wanted to plan a day of exploring around Downtown Portland. Powell's Book Store, roam around some shops, and eat some good food. But I didn't.
1. Because Tony and I talked about going to Portland to look at some furniture on Tuesday.
2. I wasn't sure if Tony would want to eat.
We are both 2 weeks out from our powerlifting meet.
We are both really close to our weight classes.
But... Tony has been in the zone with his nutrition. I have not. :(
I mean.. I have stuck to my plan.. But I want to eat so bad.
So today, while Tony and I were out and about.. I bought a book about THE HUNGRY BRAIN.
It's about what goes on in the brain to cause "us" to over eat or crave foods or simply be "hungry" when "we" aren't really hungry.
I'm excited to start reading it.
I now how to stick to a "diet." But I am curious to know what goes on the the brain when people cannot.
This book should help me with my own eating and hopefully allow me to help others.
Man oh man... I am quite tired.
I'm dozing off while I write this blog.
I haven't been sleeping the best since Tony and I moved.
I think part of it is because I am hungry and a little stressed.
KAY FIT TIPS:
Are you hungry at night? If so.. Here's what you can do:
1. Take some Sugar Free Metamucil. The fiber will help you feel full. Plus it helps you poop.
2. Eat a slower digesting meal. For instance, I eat my protein pudding as my last meal (1 scoop casein protein + 1 tablespoon of nut butter + water to get desired consistency).
3. Drink hot tea. Probably sleepy time tea if you are about to go to bed.
Are you having a hard time falling asleep? Or staying asleep? Here are some supplements you can look into talking...
1. Valerian Root
2. Phenibut
3. Melatonin
4. Gaba
5. Magnesium Glycynate
This is it for today. :)
