Food for Thought 33

Woo! Would you look at that!

CARBS ON CARBS ON CARBS!

I was just telling Tony how fun it is to experiment with my own macros.

It can be stressful at times.. But when it all comes down to it.. I'm in control. Plus stress is NOT going to help me achieve my goals.

When you are overly stress (mentally, physically, or emotionally) a few things can happen.

1. Headaches

2. Upset stomach

3. Trouble sleeping

4. Muscle tension or pain

5. Fatigue

None of which you really want.

Here are some foods that can help lower your stress levels:

1. Warm oatmeal - it boosts serotonin levels (a calming brain chemical).

2. Oranges - vitamin c helps lower stress hormones as well as boost the immune system.

3. Spinach - the magnesium in the leafy green can help with headaches or fatigue.

4. Omega-3s (salmon or tuna) - help maintain balanced hormone levels

5. Raw veggies - munching on this crunchy healthiness can help release a clenched jaw, which can get rid of tension.

BONUS VIDEO: It is my meal prep video. Give it a watch & incorporate some of these stress reducing foods :)
