Food for Thought 34 | GOING TO HAWAII


So.. It is Friday. It's been almost a week since the meet.

When Tony and I go home on Monday.. We went straight to breakfast. We had Biscuits Cafe. It was so delicious!

I had some scrambled eggies, toast and jam, and a big cinnamon roll. Oh and some coffee mixed with hot chocolate. It is nice to eat without having to count macros. And weird! :)

Monday was a "free" day.

We went to lunch too. FOOD TRUCKS! I just had sushi. I wanted something light but still yummy.

AND THEN WE HAD DINNER TOO! We went to a Brazilian Steakhouse. So goooood!

And you cannot forget dessert. LOL. We had picked up some Nothing Bunt Cakes. Amaze-balls!

We definitely had a yummy-full day!

Come Tuesday... We were back on the health grind.

I wasn't very hungry. So I ate pretty light. And had no (to little) carbs. Just protein, veggies, and a little fats.

AND LOTS OF FLUIDS!

Coming home from the meet, I felt pretty awful.

It is common to not feel the best post meet.

But.. With our upcoming trip.. I don't want to take any chances.

I got some Emergen-C! And have been making sure to rest and drink all of the liquids!

WEDNESDAY...

Mine and Tony's first day back in the gym.

It felt good to get out of the house and get moving.

I did pretty much what ever I wanted.

Got a good upper body pump and did some lower body movements.

My hips and knees were a little tenders.. So I didn't do much.

I also road my spin bike and did some stretching and rolling.

I NEED TO DO MORE!!!

I'm going to the gym again tonight. I'm excited because there is a Deadlift Party at Golden Age Iron.

I will not be deadlifting.. But it will be fun to meet more of the members.

OKAY... SO... LET'S TALK HAWAII SOME MORE!

I know I have talked about sticking to your macros and eating healthy while traveling before.. But this trip is special.

1. This is mine and Tony's first real vacation together. We are traveling just for fun! No meets, no shows.

2. No weight class to stay close to.

3. I will be starting prep for my pro debut at the end of May.

With all that being said.. We will be eating some good food.

But we are renting a house for the week, so we will have our own kitchen. We plan on bringing food, seasoning, & our food scale.

It would be crazy expensive to eat out every meal.. Plus, it's just unnecessary.

We will eat our normal meals and have healthy snacks.

And when we are out and about, if something catches our eye.. We will give it a try :)

I'm looking forward to relaxing and exploring with Tony!

I will make sure to take lots of pictures.
