Food for Thought 35 | Making An Impact

So.. As you may know.. I currently work at a car dealership.

Is it what I want to do for the rest of my life? No.

Do I enjoy my job? Eh. It is quite boring.

But I really like my coworkers. Plus, the steady income and benefits are nice.

Today I was thinking about the people that I work with, and even the customers that I interact with day to day...

No one lives the kind of lifestyle that I live. No one weighs out there food. It's a win for someone if they get the the gym twice a month. And everyone drinks alcohol.

I never judge anyone. I don't expect anyone to live the way that I live. To each their own.

But I have noticed something that warms my heart. A lot of my coworkers come to me for health and fitness advice. Sometimes it can be frustrating if I take the time to help them, but then they don't listen.. But oh well. It's their life.

I absolutely love it when my coworkers actually put in the effort to be a little healthier.

I've got a handful of them drinking more water each day. Some of them try to choose healthier options for lunch. YAY FOR THEM :)

Oh and... A couple of them are even getting active. Hiking and riding their bike! So proud.

It is simple things like this that reminds me why I do what I do. I genuinely enjoy helping others.

It makes me smile to know that I have made a positive impact on some of my coworkers' lives. :)

Ps. I think this will be the last of the Food for Thought blog series. I will still be writing blogs, just titled something else.
