Muscle Soreness

What the heck is muscle soreness?

Why do we get it?

How do we avoid it?

How can we get past it?

A lot of times, people don't like to workout because they remember that one time they worked out... And they were sore for a week. But little do they know... They were sore BECAUSE THEY DON'T WORKOUT! I mean, sure... I workout all the time... And I still get sore. That is because I train extremely hard. Plus I need to get more sleep and work on my recovery.

Don't let a little soreness get in the way of you achieving your goals. It is a normal thing.

Here is some info on soreness. This is a shorter blog... So please let me know if you have any questions. :)

-Soreness is caused when you challenge your body in a new way.

  • New exercise

  • Longer workouts

  • Higher intensity

-Through more training, you and your body gets used to the challenge. You won't be as sore, as often. Of course until you change up your training or start a new phase (ex. Hypertrophy work vs Power lifting meet prep).
