Improvement Season 17

I cannot believe that January is already almost over!

My birthday is this upcoming weekend! OMG! I'm going to be an old lady! Hahaha. 26 years OLD! Jk:)

Welllppp... I have a confession to make... I had two cheat meals! Ugh!

Tony and I ate Thursday. And that was supposed to replace my cheat meal for the week.

But then... Last night... I couldn't stop thinking about food...

So I told Tony... "I'm eating! Are you going to join me?" HE DID! #teamfluffy

I am still in the best shape I've ever been in in the off season. Especially for being 16 weeks post show.

But I do need to dial things in. I need to change my mindset (like I keep saying & Tony keeps telling me).

My coach gives me one cheat meal a week. This should be plenty! I need to get my strong will power back!

What am I working towards... THE US OPEN IS LESS THAN 15 WEEKS AWAY!

I am working towards that! I will be competing in the 123 weight class. I want to be at my all-time best!

I know I will not win... But I do want to beat myself. And I will beat my old numbers being leaner! I want to feel comfortable in my singlet!

Like I've said so many times... If I eat good...

1. I feel good!

2. I perform good!

3. I look good!

ALL WINS! Plus I save money because I won't be buying all of the junk food!

Okay! Let's do this... 15 weeks out! Let's see how much my body comp can change.. And how strong I can get!

It is time to dial things in! No more lying to myself!!!

No more telling myself that things are getting!

No more telling myself that I don't care about the scale!

No more telling myself that the way I look doesn't effect my mood!

NO MORE LIES!

With all that being said... I also have to get rid of the unnecessary stress!

I need to have fun with this! I have to enjoy the process (including the fluffy times)!

I need the fluff in order to grow!

I also need to follow my macros so my coach can increase them as time goes on.

Why do I need to get my macros up?

So the next time I diet... I can start with my calories higher! That way as I diet... I don't have to get down to only eating 540 calories for a day.

Speaking of the next time I diet... I think I am going to do the same show I did this year.

Border States in San Diego, CA. I might also do the Kentucky Pro as well. Both shows are in October 2018.

That would make me a little under 36 weeks out from the San Diego show.

And I am at the same weight I was at when I was about 8-9 weeks out last year!

I guess I'm not doing too bad!

That doesn't mean I can continue doing the way I've been doing. I need to dial things in!

Why settle? When I know I can be so much better!

So I know my long term goals for this year (as a competitor)...

1. US Open May 12 & 13

-Weigh in around 120lbs (looking and feeling lean)

-Beat my old best numbers (S:314 / B: 215 / D: 341)

2. At least one Pro Figure show in October

-Kill my prep like I did last year

-Go on stage bigger and leaner than last year

-Perfect my posing routine

HOW AM I GOING TO ACHIEVE THESE?

1. I am going to follow my macros to the T!

-How am I going to do this? I've been saying I am going to do this... And haven't.

--I am going to weigh in and take pictures every day. I might even post my weigh ins to help hold myself accountable... What do you guys think about that? Will you help me stay on track? Would you want to join me???

2. I am going to follow my training program.. & work my butt off! (I have been doing this)

-I am also going to be proactive when it comes to my recovery.

--Stretching and rolling at least 3x/week and 2 epsom salt baths per month

---Maybe I'll make the epsom salt bath days kind of like a spa day for myself :)

3. Killing prep, as crazy as this sounds, is easier for me. I know how to diet when I have a deadline. The hard part is being okay with going up in weight... I need to get my macros up in order to put on muscle.

-I need to not stress about the scale. If I am following the plan.. Then I am good to go! I have a coach for a reason.

--I need to tone it down with the cheat meals. They are going in the way of being able to up my daily macros.

---My accountability idea above will help with this.

4. I need to be practicing my posing all of the time.

-Maybe if I practice posing now... It will motivate me to be better with my food. I say this because posing is very uncomfortable if you are super fluffy or bloated.

Well... I think that's it. This is what I'm going to be working on each day.
