*sigh*
Back to reality. I am sitting here at work...
What better time to write a blog and relive my amazing vacation.
So I mentioned in one of my previous blogs that I was going to be going to Hawaii.. And I was going to eat what I wanted. That's exactly what I did.
I also ate healthy a good bit of the time. Made sure to get in protein. Drank my water. And stayed very active.
Day One in Hawaii:
Tony and I didn't eat breakfast.. We were up so early to catch our flight. We did end up eating some trail mix on the plane.
Then when we landed we dropped off our bags at the house and went straight out for a hike. And oh man was it a tough one. We didn't even finish it.
After that we were quite hungry.. So we got some Thai food and Mochi ice cream.
Day Two in Hawaii:
We were up bright and early to go on a guided tour. I did manage to make us a homemade brekkie.
At first I was a little bleh about the tour.. I was worried that we were going to be sitting in a bus all day.. But we weren't. It was actually a super fun day. When we were in the bus we had some protein bars, trail mix, and we brought a couple meals of protein and veggies.
And one of the stops was at the Dole Plantation.. Where we got to eat some pineapple ice cream. SO GOOD!!!
Then we ate at the luau, which was obviously AMAZING!!!
Day Three in Hawaii:
We went out to breakfast this day (I think.. I'm getting my days mixed up). I was pretty disappointed in the cafe that we went to.. Because the dang waffle lady wasn't there to make me some tropical waffles. OH WELL. I got pancakes with some nutella. And of course, we just had to go to the gym. We went to Powerhouse gym. It was a nice bodybuilding gym. I actually ended up meeting quite a few competitors.
This same day we hiked up to a waterfall and got to swim in it. Then we walked around a cute little town near the house we were staying at. This is when we got some shaved ice. I thought shaved ice was just a glorified snow cone. I WAS WRONG! It was delicious! & of course I got ice cream under it!
Then we went on a little bike ride down to a private beach and just relaxed while the sun went down.
Day Four in Hawaii:
Homemade brekkie again. Then we met up with Brian and John (the owner of Feed Me Fight me). We all went to the Pearl Harbor. It was pretty cool to experience that with Tony.
After that we got some crepes. I just love food so much. LOL. Then we hiked again.
We hiked up Diamond Head. BTW.. Make sure you brink cash to Hawaii. Tony and I had to go searching for an ATM so we can hike.
After our hike we joined in on team training at Mana Barbell. It was a blast to be around such a family like training environment. And it was so cool to have so many girls lifting!
This night we got home so late. We ended up just eating dinner at home. We made a frozen pizza. It was actually very tasty!
Day Five in Hawaii:
FOOD TRUCKS ARE THE BEST! I had Giovonni's Famous Shrimp! Mmmmm! Then we went to Powerhouse Gym again. Then I think we went snorkeling. Well.. Tony went snorkeling. For some reason.. I had a mini panic attack and had to sit out.
After that we went to this thing called EAT THE STREETS. It was a bunch of food trucks. Yay!
Tony had some bbq. And I had these amazing fries. And we got some Ube cookies and cheesecake. They were amazing! Oh && I had some milk tea with the tapioca ball in it! It legit tasted like fruity pebble milk!
Day Six in Hawaii:
Once again.. Homemade brekkie (I made breakfast pretty much every morning. I really enjoyed it).
I made some eggs with kale. Some toast for me. A bagel and cream cheese for Tony. Some fruit on the side. And some coffee. It is very similar to what we eat on a normal basis. Just not weighing everything out. And some fun stuff on the side.
After brekkie, we went to Kono's BBQ. Tony got a sandwich and chips. And we shared an Oreo Cheesecake milkshake. Then we went to Beet's Cafe to get me my first Acai Bowl. Oh man was it delish! My goal for the week was to eat lots of fruit! Goal accomplished!
After my acai bowl.. We went back to Mana Barbell to deadlift with the team. That was probably my favorite part of the trip (I can't really pick a favorite part)... But meeting everyone at Mana was absolutely amazing! <3
Then Tony and I went on another hike. In the rain! Rain or shine.. We had a blast! Each day was a new adventure in itself.
And after our hike.. We met up with Brian and John again and got some dinner. It wasn't my favorite meal.. But the company was great! Those guys are so nice! I can't wait until they move closer to us!
Day Seven in Hawaii:
Hmm.. What did we do? OH! We went out to breakfast. This time we went to an awesome place. Moke's Bread and Breakfast. I had corned beef and hash. Not quite sure what was on Tony's plate. I think it was fried rice with pork and gravy. And we shared some passion fruit pancakes. Very tasty!
Then we went to this little street fair. We got there right when it started.. So it wasn't too crazy yet.. We ended up just leaving and going to the gym. California, Oregon, or Hawaii.. You can always find us in the gym.
After our nice gym sesh we made some pit stops to get some more yummy treats. We then went home, ate, and then took a nap. I at another acai bowl. And Tony ate a bunch of bakery stuff. LOL.
Nap time ended.. We got up, showered, and went out for a fancy dinner for out last night in Hawaii. We shared an appetizer. And I got a shrimp and scallop curry dish. Tony got BBQ, again! Haha. And we shared an amazing Peanut Butter Pie. It literally tasted like a giant Peanut Butter Cup! Yummmmmy!
I may seem like all we did was eat out and eat a bunch or crap. But we really didn't. We shared a lot of things. We only ate like 3ish times a day. When we normally eat 6 times. We just had bigger meals during our trip. And we were SUPER active. Swimming, hiking, in the gym, walking around.
Also keep in mind that I am showing you all the fun foods that I ate. You guys see enough pictures of my normal food. Plus.. I start my contest prep in a couple weeks. That means 100% strict on my diet. No cheats, unless my coach says I can have one. So I wanted to enjoy myself, and I most definitely did!
Ps. Sorry for the picture overload (sorry not sorry).
