So... Last week was a bit of a rough week when it comes to my diet. And my steps per day. And my workouts (at the beginning of the week). Rough is probably an over-exaggeration. It just wasn't my best week.
So I finally pulled myself together! I've been 100% since my trip to L.A.
Oddly enough... I weigh the same... But I am looking and feeling better. So I am hoping that my weight goes down a bit after being on point for a couple weeks. BUT.... Tony did remind me that the scale weight doesn't really matter right now. As long as I am following my plan and putting in the work in the gym. So... Without going overboard with the scale... I am doing my best to just focus on eating good food and training hard!
I am also not taking things too seriously. Yes... I am a pro. Yes.. This is my lifestyle. Yes... This is my hobby and passion. But... That doesn't mean that I have to stress about every little thing. And that also means that I need to focus on the positive things... FOCUS ON THE "WINS" day to day :)
By "wins" I mean all the good things that you do in the day. A win can be something as simple as drinking your water for the day. Eating a healthy breakfast. Going for a 10 minute walk. All great wins (obviously everyone's wins will be different)!

The first two pictures in this blog is of me this week. I am still feeling/looking pretty fluffy from last weekend. But that is okay. I am getting better each day!
The best thing about where I'm at right now... Is that I feel like I am finally getting my groove back. I have been getting up at 4:20am the past few days. I've been eating my food, and enjoying it! I haven't been getting up in the middle of the night and eating. Yay! I just have to keep this up now!!!
Off season is the time to grow! It's the time to increase calories (good calories)!
I checked in with my coach... And he said that we are going to slowly start increasing food now.
He just lowered food slightly... To get me down a pound or two... And then we are going to maintain that... & see how how we can get my calories up without my weight climbing. I'm very excited about this!
The big thing about this process though... I HAVE TO FOLLOW THE PLAN 100%!!!
If I want to increase my daily food intake... I cannot be eating off plan. I have to be the pro that I am... And do what needs to be done!
The most important thing to do when you are trying to stick to a plan... Is to make sure you are enjoying the process. Enjoy your food. Enjoy your workouts. Surround yourself with positive people that support you in your journey!
<-- This is a picture of one of my meals.
*Lean ground beef & Extra lean ground turkey
*Cauliflower rice
*Mushrooms
*Bellpeppers
*1 rice cake
And I seasoned it with this bomb seasoning Tony got me! I will have to get the name for you guys! It is some Asian seasoning from Walmart! SOOO GOOOD! And you cannot forget my mustard on the side.
I honestly really enjoy my food! I have recently started mixing up my veggies a little because I was getting sick of just broccoli and cauliflower. So now I have zucchini, mushrooms and bell peppers. I have also been having a salad with this new dressing I got! It's the Skinny Girl Poppy Seed Dressing.
So not only have I been switching up my veggies... I have been mixing up my seasoning and sauces. It really helps keep thing interesting. Especially because I'm not prepping for a show. When I'm prepping for a show I do my best to keep things as consistent as possible!
Another trick of mine.. Is zero calorie drinks! Flavored carbonated waters, zero calorie powerades, mio, zero calorie energy drinks. Even hot or cold tea! I love them all! They all help so much when I am hungry or craving. They are sweet, so it is like a treat. And the carbonated drinks fill up my tummy. Just be prepared for some bloating if you have a sensitive stomach.
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT WORKOUTS! Working out is normally the fun part of this whole journey!
But... I haven't been really wanting to train lately. I know it has a lot to do with my shoulder. And the fact that I am not as strong as I would like to be. I just changed up my environment. I have been gym hopping lately... And that seems to be helping. I get to see different faces. I get to use different equipment/machines. Make your workouts fun! Change things up. Find a fun workout buddy!
The main thing with all this is that you have to find what works for you. Find what you like/enjoy. Once you do that... Then you will have a better chance of sticking to the plan! :)
Well.. This will be it for now. Please watch my latest YouTube video!
