I'm just interested in seeing who all reads these things.
Okay... So... Week 5 for the US Open has started!
I feel like this week is starting off pretty good! I feel more relaxed compared to last week.
I'm on track this week... And my first workout went well!
And I feel like I am in a pretty good place mentally and physically.
It has been 22+ weeks since my last figure show. I am sitting about about 22-25lbs above my stage weight.
About a pound gained per week. That is more that what my coach originally wanted me to gain, but he has been awesome about working with my body and adjusting the program accordingly. He wanted me to stay around 110, but that clearly wasn't going to happen. LOL.
When my off season first started... I was so nervous about gaining weight.
I stressed about it so much. And still do sometimes...
Fortunately... I am feeling a lot better about my weight gain. I am doing my best to embrace and love my extra curves! I am back to telling myself, almost daily, that I love myself.
I am also keeping in mind what my goals are.... My overall goal is to IMPROVE!
I want to be a stronger powerlifer! And I want to/need to grow for bodybuilding! The only way to do either of those is to put on more muscle... And the only way you can add muscle mass is by being in a calorie surplus...
And when you are in a calorie surplus... You generally put on weight.
So that is a long way to say... I am keeping my goals in mind.
With me stressing less about my weight and my body... I have actually been good with my food! Yay!
I have also been more relaxed... If I'm over 2g of carbs... I don't freak out. I have also been enjoy little things like MATCHA LATTES!!! I am so obsessed with them! Oh AANNNDDD... I have been replacing my last meal with some Enlightened ice cream! SO GOOD!!!! My favorite flavor so far is Oatmeal Caramel Cookie Crunch <3
I've also had Snickerdoodle, Cookies and Brownies, Red Velvet, and Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter. I think that's it. I do have more pints in my freezer. And I will be getting the new flavors when I finish the ones I already have! LOL!
And since we are talking about food.... My refeed day brekkie... I HAD PANCAKES!
I decided to mix it up! And I totally loved it!! I was worried that the pancakes wouldn't be filling, but they were!!!!
MORE FOOD!
For my cheat meal... Tony and I went to a food truck DOPE BBQ! It was delicious!!!BBQ Beans, Sweet Potatoes, Cheesy Jalopeno Cornbread, and Brisket! Then we went to Trader Joe's for some snacks!!!! Yum, yum, and YUUMMMM! I swear Tony and I were seriously made for each other! We legit got dressed up to eat food truck food in my car and then came home to eat our snacks in our pjs on the couch! <3 <3 <3

This weekend was the first sign of spring!!! The weather in Portland was GORGEOUS!!! Got up to the high 60's and sunny! Tony and I went on two small hikes. Hiking in Oregon is so different compared to hiking in California. Yes, CA has pretty awesome weather year round... But it just isn't as beautiful as Oregon (the PNW in general). All of the rain = all of the green! And I looooove the green! The trees, the moss, the mountains... GOSH! I don't think it will ever get old!
I think this year... Tony and I are going to plan/map out our hikes. Last summer we went on at least one hike a week.
*ProTip: Plan your hikes on a rest day. And make sure you don't do a hard hike the day before squats or deads. Ha
There are so many hikes all over Oregon. I think this year we are going to explore a lot more!!!! There are so many things I want to do and places I want to check out!

There are so many more things that I want to do... But let's start with this.
