HELLO & HAPPY MONDAY!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Mine was a little weird!
I worked Monday and Tuesday... Had Wednesday-Friday off... Then worked Saturday. Had Sunday off...
And now I'm back to work Monday-Wednesday. Such a weird schedule. But ehhh.. It's rare when my schedule is mixed up like that. So it's okay.
So... Week 6 has just started. I am slowly but surely feeling better and better about my meet prep.
Think it is mainly because I am changing my mindset. I am just loving and embracing where I am at RIGHT NOW! I am not going to compare myself to anyone.. NOT EVEN MY OLD SELF!
I am in a different place that I was last year. I am recovering from my first injury. Last year I didn't diet for any shows... & so on. I am trying not to obsess or stress over the weights or my body weight. I am just following my plan and working hard in the gym.
Okay... So I just realized that I have a hard time talking about my week of training because I write this blog at the beginning of the week (week 6). From here on out, I will recap the previous week :)
Sunday I had a pretty heavy squat day. 230 for a double in sleeves. It was supposed to be an 8-9 RPE. In my opinion it was a 10 RPE. But either way... It moved.
Monday is a rest day for me. For my rest days... I only do fasted cardio.
Tuesday I bench! Tony recently switched my days. Tuesday is now my accessory bench day. So I had some CG Floor Presses and Football Bar BP. It wasn't an awful workout. We will just leave it at that. LOL.
Wednesday... I was off last week. I went to coffee with Desi and then we passed out some Strength Union flyers. It was actually a great day! Then I met up with Tony and Ryan for some training! I deadlifted with some chains... Which was actually a really amazing workout!
Thursday was my competition bench day. I wasn't the happiest about this day... Mainly because I was comparing myself to my old self... And to other strong girls on IG. I was also complaining too much about it. I just have to be thankful for where I am at... And continue to work hard to get better/stronger.
Friday is my extra day. I do conventional pulls, HBCS squats, some back accessories, and glute work. My RPE's for the day were 7-8. So everything was pretty light :)
Saturday is another rest day.
Week 5 was a pretty good week now that I take a moment and look back. I put in the work and the effort was there. I followed my plan. I can't really ask for more. Great things take time! So I need to be patient. Easier said than done, though.

I weighed in at 129 this morning.
My shoulder is also feeling better and better.
I am following my plan... And leaving the stress up to my coach. I definitely feel like this is the best I've looked at this weight.
Anyways... More recap from last week...
1. I tried a charcoal latte. It was interesting. Not sure if I would order it again... But it was good enough for me to drink most of it.
2. I made my first pie. White Chocolate Peanut Butter. It was really good! I just have to fix my crust. I made it too crumbly.
3. Tony and I went to a fancy sushi restaurant! It is called Departure. My first time going to sushi and getting nothing with fish! All meat! And all delicious!
