I feel like it has been forever since I blogged.

So... What has been going on?
Well... You all know that I've been training my butt off! And slowly but surely getting stronger.
And most important, I feel like my form and technique has gotten pretty solid! Yay!

So... Let's talk about gym stuff...
This meet prep definitely started off kind of rough. I felt like I was just getting weaker. Dealing with a shoulder injury... And squats... Bleh! But things finally started to feel better and better.
Once I started squatting with wraps... I feel like they have been consistently going up (except for one bad workout). Bench has slowly but surely going up. And my should has improved a ton. I just have to keep up with my "recovery" work (rolling, stretching, stabilizing, strengthening). And deads... They have been my rock through it all! I feel like my deadlifts have for sure gotten stronger! I am so happy with the way they are looking and feeling!
Non-training stuff:
Tony and I went to a Cirque du Soleil on ice! It was so cool! I've got to say... I am one lucky girl! I sent Tony a picture of this show... And within hours he had already bought our tickets! He spoils me so much!
We have also been going to some amazing restaurants! Like seriously.. AMAZEBALLS!

I've also been baking every Friday! And this past Friday was probably my favorite treats!
I made these cookie sandwiches! Homemade oatmeal cookies with salted caramel chips... Filled with homemade buttercream frosting. I did a chocolate, peanut butter and vanilla frosting. SOOOO GOOOOD! I got full before I could finish them all. It was so sad throwing the rest away.
AND THEN... We went to the Tulip Festival! OMG! So fricken gorgeous!

I guess you can say... I have been living a fun-filled life lately!
I mean... I just about always have fun because that's just ME! But it has been extra fun!
And it is only April (IT'S ALREADY ALMOST OVER!).
Tony and I have so much planned this year!
May 12 - US Open (competing)
May 19 - Official contest prep starts
June 16 - Newport PL meet (going to coach Strength Union members)
July 27-29 - Physique Summit in St. Louis, MI
Oct. 6 - Figure show in San Diego
Oct. 19-20 - Figure show in Kentucky
Sometime in Nov. - Going to visit family in CA.
And I know we have more things in-between!
Man! My life is amazing!!!
Oh and... Tony and I want to make a trip to a new place... Like Montana for some hiking in the summer.
And my siblings and Gma Micky are going to come visit in the summer as well!
