US Open Week 3

Monday February 26, 2018

Hello and happy Monday!!!

Okay... So I am going to start this blog off talking about cheat meals.

I know I talk about food a lot in my blog... But hey... Who doesn't like food?! LOL.

If you read my blogs... Then you know I had a hard time with food after my shows. I was struggling pretty bad. And going off plan quite a bit.

I feel like there is a time and place for that. Especially because I diet pretty much all the time. And extremely strict when I am getting ready for my shows... When I finally relaxed and allowed myself to cheat and enjoy it... The cheating came to an end. Funny how that works.

Don't get me wrong.. I still have one cheat meal a week with Tony. And I love it! It is our date night.

It is also my chance to bake fun stuff! My recent obsessions are "Fake" Fudge and Oreo Cheesecake Cookies.

Neither of these treats are healthy! But oh man, they are so delicious!!!!

I do enjoy making healthy treats... But unhealthy ones are good too! And it makes more sense when I am having a cheat meal! I'm going to enjoy real sugar! Not stevia! LOL.

Recipes:

Fake Fudge:

-2 bags of white chocolate chips

-1 cup of sugar cookie mix

-1 can of fat free sweetened condensed milk

*Microwave 1 min at a time and stir.

*Pour into a parchment paper lined pan.

*Top with candies or sprinkles of choice.

*Refrigerate until solid

*Cut into pieces & EAT!!!!

I think it is a mixture of bark and fudge.

If you let it sit out for a little while before eating, it will be easier to bite into.

Oreo Cheesecake Cookies:

-4 ounces of cream cheese

-8 tbsps of salted butter

-3/4 cup of sugar

-1 cup + 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour

*Mix cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy

*Mix in sugar

*Slowly mix in flour

*Fold in Oreo pieces

Mine are pink in this picture because I added red food coloring for Valentine's Day.

These cookies are SOOOO AMAZINGGGG!!!

Neither of these recipes are healthy!!! Bake and eat with caution! Lol.

Another topic I wanted to talk about is excuses. & don't use the fact that I gave you yummy recipes to try as an excuse to why you go off plan or cheat on your plan. If you are supposed to be following certain macros... The obviously don't make or eat these recipes until you have a cheat me.

Unless you live in the PNW.. Then you probably don't know that it snowed last week (I think it is supposed to snow again this week). Portland kind of shuts down when it snows. Family owned businesses close. Tons of people call into work... ETC. So it is only natural for people to skip the gym when the weather isn't the greatest outside.

NOOOPPPPEEE! That's an excuse!

I mean if the weather is really that bad to where you are in danger if you leave your house... Then it's a legit excuse... But last week it was not that bad. I drive an Hyundai Elantra (not a 4-wheel-drive car)... I was able to still go to work; and make it to the gym!

What I'm trying to say is... If you really want something, you will find a way to make it happen. If you don't... Then you will find an excuse. Lose your excuses and you will find your results (with time and hard work, of course)!
