Improvement Season 12

Thursday December 14, 2017

If you read my blogs... Then you know that I haven't been writing as much. I'm sorry for that.

I was writing a lot when I was having a hard time with my eating.

I also write a lot when I'm at work, which I'm at right now.

Writing is a good way for me to vent. It also allowed me to share with you what I was going through. I want you to see that even pro athletes struggle.

Writing is also a great way to pass the time. Instead of going on Pinterest or Instagram, I have been trying to write or read. I want to be more productive with my time.

WELL... How has my improvement season been since the last time we spoke?

It has been good! I feel like it is getting better and better!

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in my previous post, but I am weighing myself less.

I weigh myself maybe 3 times a week. And I am sitting around 116.

My coach took away some food. Not much, though.

He also is having me track my steps. Tony bought me a new FitBit. I am so not used to wearing a watch. LOL. I was complaining that it hurts my wrist. I will get used to it!

My coach and I also agreed that we are going to add some more training days. I am going to add more shoulder work and glute work. BRING ON THE BOOTY GAINS! & those boulders!

I am getting a bit excited about growing and making progress.. Tony had to remind me to take it slow. I have two years to grow and improve before I step on stage again. So this week I am only adding 3 exercises for each of those muscle groups. 2-3 sets of 12-20 reps. And each week I will add a little bit more, whether it be more sets, another exercise, and/or more weight. I have to make sure I am able to progress. If I start off with all of the exercises, reps, and sets right away... Then I won't have any where to go from there.

OOOO! Okay... Let's talk holidays!

I cannot believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away!

Tony and I got our tree the other day! I love it! It is the perfect size tree for us! The house is all decked out in Christmas joy! I have hung up lights over our bar. We have lights and some ornaments on the tree! We got a pretty red star on the top! And we got the more gorgeous (and expensive) wreath for our front door!

Tony and I still have to go get some more ornaments. We have made it a little tradition to get two ornaments each year (each). I already got one. I have one more to get, and Tony needs to find his :)

We also went to see the Zoo Lights! Loved it! So many lights. I also drank the most delicious chai tea!

It was funny... When I bought it I was all worried it wasn't going to be that good because I didn't have any stevia to put in it. Then I took a sip. YUMMINESS-GALORE! It had milk and (I'm pretty sure) sugar in it already!

I didn't even stress about the untracked drink. I just enjoyed it, and used it as a meal. I used it as a meal because I actually skipped a meal due to timing, not because I felt bad about drinking a teeny tiny tea with some milk. LOL.

It felt good to be able to drink it and just enjoy it! That means I am finally finding a happy place.

I don't need to stress over my weight so much. I don't need to freak out when I go off plan in the smallest way.

Not saying that I can completely relax and go all willy-nilly with my macros. Not saying that at all! I will still be following my plan pretty much to the T! But if things like that happen... Then it is going to be OKAY!!!

Oh!! Another awesome thing! Tony lifted at the Deadlifts for Doernbecher Charity Event! It was such an awesome turnout for such an awesome cause! He treated it like another training day. He pulled 700 super smooth! We got to talk to a bunch of people! I love things like that! Then we went home and had a cheat meal together. I kind of love it when he eats with me! It's like a date night <3

Well... I'm going to cut it here.. For now! Check out my newest Youtube video :)
